Palfinger Unveils Next-Level Aerial Platforms

At bauma 2025, Palfinger launched the PT 28 T as a world premiere and also debuted the PT 22 TJ.

Palfinger aerial work platforms provide safe and efficient access to great heights across multiple applications. All TEC models are ready for electric drive, allowing customers to opt for a hybrid variant or a heavier all-electric chassis.

“With the four models of our new TEC range of aerial work platforms that we are presenting at bauma, we have put a lot of effort into performance improvements and modularity making maintenance easier than ever. We are now offering a new level of platforms tailored to our customers’ needs”

says Alexander Susanek, COO at Palfinger.

“In 2024, we reopened our German Löbau site as the European hub for our aerial work platforms, with a strong focus on the new TEC range. To support this, we have optimized key parts of our manufacturing lines, enhancing production efficiency and accelerating the development of our expertise on-site”.

The enhanced TEC range offers more power and less weight for improved efficiency – for all chassis and weight classes ranging from 3.5 to 10.5 tons. The entire TEC range fully complies with European GSR 2.0 safety regulations that aim at improving vehicle safety standards.

Palfinger’s TEC range

Palfinger’s battery pack options enable electric operation of the platform for a typical workday, allowing for emission-free performance on-site. With this technology, the truck engine remains switched off during platform operation, ensuring reduced emissions and minimal noise. This not only lowers emissions and noise levels but also preserves the engine, extending its lifespan. Additionally, this technology opens up new deployment opportunities, such as in cities with strict emission regulations, noise-sensitive areas like hospitals, or for indoor use – further improving overall efficiency and return on investment.

Especially for rental businesses, maximizing operating times and increasing productivity are crucial for economic success. The key lies in maximum flexibility and utilization – one aerial work platform can be used for multiple applications – and the quality of the components, which ensures product durability. Palfinger’s smart approach to simplifying maintenance – particularly in the TEC range – makes it a reliable and cost-effective solution for this industry.

PT 28 T and PT 22 TJ: Two world premieres at Bauma 2025

The PT 28 T and PT 22 TJ make their global debut at Bauma 2025. The PT 28 T is one of the few aerial work platforms in its category to offer a fully electric operation of the platform while reaching a working height of 28 meters – delivering unparalleled performance with the lowest emissions. The PT 22 TJ installed on an IVECO eDaily is a telescopic platform.

PT 25 TJ: Top-level performance

The PT 25 TJ is Palfinger’s most powerful 3.5 ton aerial work platform. A key factor for more performance is the increased lateral reach, which ensures more versatility.

“When developing our Aerial Work Platforms, we listen closely to our customers and transform their feedback into tangible improvements. The PT 25 TJ exemplifies this approach with increased performance and enhanced ergonomics. With these innovations, we are not only delivering higher performance today but also ensuring that our products are ready for the challenges of tomorrow”

adds Alexander Susanek.

PT 19 TJ on Ford eTransit

As one of the first manufacturers to mount an aerial work platform on a Ford chassis, Palfinger is setting a new industry benchmark with the PT 19 TJ on the 4.25-ton Ford eTransit, showcased as a future innovation at Bauma.

From 13 to 90 meters

With working heights ranging from 13 to 90 meters, the portfolio includes both non-insulated and insulated platforms, mounted on chassis from 3.5 to 48 tons. Whether bucket trucks, articulated platforms or telescopic models – Palfinger offers suitable solutions for a wide range of applications.

Availability

PT 19 TJ, PT 22 TJ, PT 25 TJ, as well as the PT 28 T will be available for order in EMEA starting at Bauma 2025, with various chassis combinations to meet different operational needs.
