The TSBPA is the official government body for the credentialing of CPAs in the state of Texas.  They also provide cash awards up to $7500 for selected students who plan to remain in Texas after graduation and pursue the CPA license.  Over 20 °®¶¹´«Ã½ MS accounting students have won some award amount, usually in their last semester of the MS program.

Becker is the foremost review system for the CPA exam in the US.  °®¶¹´«Ã½ is a Preferred Partner of Becker and its students and alumni receive discount pricing and special use of study portals and material.

AICPA Accounting Scholars Leadership

Numerous °®¶¹´«Ã½ MS accounting students have won awards for travel to the annual AICPA Accounting Scholars Leadership.  

 

AICPA Legacy Scholarships

 Numerous other °®¶¹´«Ã½ MS accounting students have competed for and won the AICPA Legacy Scholarships, most recently the AICPA Scholarship for Minority Students in 2024.

The PCAOB asks selected colleges and universities, including the °®¶¹´«Ã½, to nominate a student in accounting studies.

The Texas Society of CPA Accounting Excellence Award bestows an award in the form of a plaque on the outstanding accounting student each year at °®¶¹´«Ã½.
